Golbokki Venture has trained 4000 women in rice procession on Bauchi State, The Women farmers who are into rice production on a small scale, were exposed on how to improve crop yield and their livelihoods.
Chairman of the ventures Alhaji Aminu Barau Liman Katagum stated this in Bauchi om Wednesday when he interacted with reporters at the 15th Bauchi trade fair groundBarau said we have trained over 4000 Women Rice farmers in collaboration with world bank on how to plant , grow and process rice.
He said the Women celebrate bumper harvest after adopting climate-smart technologies.
Barau said that the ventures are making research on the best way to plant rice without fertilizer and get bumper harvest, He said this is the fifth year their Company Golbokki ventures is making research on planting rice without fertilizer and get bumper harvest.
He said we are making progress because last year where we use to get seven bags when we planted the rice without fertilizer we received more than 30 bags.
Barau said before you take the result of your research to Agricultural Development programmes you need to take at least seven years , we are still on the research and after the seven years we will.be ready to help all interested farmers.
He said they processed parboiled rice and provide strong rice processing machines such as planting machines, spraying, harvesting and rice milling and other types of machines that clean crops and separate it from its dust.
Barau said that they manufactured rice processing machines, charcoal making machines which are strong and durable in Bauchi instead of having to buy them from abroad, almost all the machines that are displayed here in Bauchi have been manufactured here and they are made with reliability so that they will last for years without damage.
He said that among the machines they brought, there is a multi-purpose machine, it works six times and threshes maize, sorghum, white beans, millet and millet. There is also a machine to make charcoal, which they use to make charcoal and peanuts, and sugar cane and other kinds of which are used to make charcoal to reduce deforestation.
The Chairman of Bauchi State Traders and Manufacturers Association, Alhaji Aminu Muhammad Danmalikin Bauchi, who is also the Director General of the Trade Fair, said, in fact, this year's Fair market was very successful even though it was delayed from the beginning but now it is great success as the government of Bauchi State rebuilt the market makes it model and standard, and traders from China and Arab countries who intend to come and see what we have, if we can get them to invest, doing so will bring business development in Bauchi and the North East.
He said the essence of the trade fair is to make consultations with the business partners .and get more opportunities to succeed.
