The Governor made this observation and further maintained that reviewing the operational guidelines would encourage massive participation of women especially from northern parts of the country.
He made the plea during a courtesy visit by the Wife of the Inspector General of Police Mrs Elizabeth Egbetokun at Government House Bauchi.

He enumerated some of the factors hindering women joining the police to include socio-cultural and religious differences.
He also applauded Mrs Egbetokun for introducing laudable initiatives aimed at empowering women in different areas.
On her part, the wife of Inspector General of Police Mrs Elizabeth Egbetokun, who double as the President of the Police officers Association POWA said she was in the state to intimate the Governor on the newly introduced initiative of Young Women in Agriculture under the police Agricultural empowerment programme.
She therefore urged women from the state to avail themselves with the opportunity to improve the economic status.
