Barely three days after the Wikki Tourist Football Club of Bauchi suffered a humiliating defeat from the Katsina and Nasarawa football clubs, Wikki Technical Adviser, Mr. Usman Abdallah has tendered his letter of resignation to the club.
The Wikki Football Club has lost back with a devastating 5 – 1 against the Katsina United in Katsina and 2-1 against Nasarawa football club at home.
Following this setback, the Bauchi State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) last weekend after the Wikki defeat expressed displeasure on the performance of the club in the ongoing Nigerian professional football league.
To this end, the Bauchi SWAN called on the state government to as a matter of urgency set up a committee to look into the problems facing the club with a view to finding a lasting solution.
The association also appealed to both the management and players of the Wikki football club to brace up and return the state team to its position of eminence.
The Technical adviser to the Wikki football Club, Mr. Usman Abdallah Tuesday tendered his letter of resignation to the club.
The letter to the Wikki Management Tuesday reads in parts, “With most respect and gratitude for having given me the privilege to work with you, I am very sad to tender my resignation as the Technical Adviser of Wikki Tourist Football Club of Bauchi.
Mr. Usman Abdallah explained that he wished the Wikki club success in its future endeavours.
